Staff at the Centre are involved in regular teaching through lectures, tutorials and seminars at undergraduate and graduate level.


Undergraduate lecture series have included:
  • Introduction to Modern Theology

  • Issues in Theology 1789-1921

  • Christian Life and Thought in Europe 1789-1921

  • Christian Life and Thought in Britain and America 1789-1921

  • The philosophy department offers lectures on figures such as Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty, Sartre.


Graduate seminars for MSt/MPhil students in Modern Doctrine:
  • Michaelmas Term: Methods and Styles in Theology 1780-present

  • Hilary Term: Theology and Modern European Thought
