Hi Clare. My weekend was good and bad. The bad: being unable to concentrate on anything for more than 30 seconds with a brain full of flu. My IQ was so lowered that even The Wedding Crashers became a barely comprehensible multi-twisty-huh story?. The good: my other half took very good care of me. Socialising in Oxford is tricky. Partialy because, other than the fairly demanding minimum required to do my job, I don't actually spend that time here. My girlfriend lives in London (which is a *much* easier arrangement since I moved out of Aber) and we spend most of our weekends together. Add in my irrationally dedicated maintainence of an open source project and there isn't so much left over. Do you have Spotify? I'm running it here at work on Linux using Wine and it runs perfectly. Lost and Safe by The Books is a good album. I don't really know what you'd call it; experimental/found sound/art-school-postrock? Oh, that's nothing. My mum keeps red wine in the fridge and drinks it with ice cubes on the surface. Whatever makes it taste good for you. I going to go but I won't be at the social now. Family funeral to travel for, very sad. I'll probably be at the next one or we can meet at some other random time. Don't suppose you'll be at Brecon Jazz this weekend? Oh, and, yes, Aber is indeed awsome :-) Jim
