Monday 23 May – Leave Oxford at 9.45am (Taylorian), 10.00am Water Eaton Park and Ride. Visit Quarry Mill & Styal Estate (NT) on the way to the Lake District
Tuesday 24 May – Nineteenth-century themes. Morning visit Grasmere: Dove Cottage (Wordsworth’s first home) and Wordsworth Museum. Afternoon: cross Coniston Water on restored Victorian steam yacht Gondola to visit Brantwood house and gardens, John Ruskin’s home 1872–1900
Wednesday 25 May – High Adventure: scenic tour of the Lakes with Mountain Goat mini-buses, with short section on Ravenglass and Eskdale railway. The tour will provide views of Langdale, Wrynose and Hardknott passes, Wastwater and visits to Hardknott Roman fort remains and Muncaster Castle gardens and Owl sanctuary.
Thursday 26 May – Arts and Crafts in the Lakes. Morning visit Quaker Tapestry in Kendal, group lunch (included in cost) in Quaker Meeting House. Afternoon visit Blackwell House above Lake Windermere.
Friday 27 May – Return to Oxford with visit to Tatton Park (NT)
