Oral and Poster Papers

The oral papers will be presented in the main conference venue at St Catherine’s College. The theatre is called the Bernard Sunley Lecture Theatre. Here are some Maps of Oxford

Oral papers will be of 20 minutes duration including five minutes for discussion and questions. Session chairs will enforce time limits without exception so please plan accordingly. The conference lecture room has overhead projection facilities, slide projector, flip charts, and a data projector and computer for PowerPoint presentations.

Poster papers will be displayed for the entire duration of the conference in an adjoining room off the lobby in the conference venue at the Bernard Sunley Lecture Theatre.

Stand-alone poster presentation sessions are planned for the conference. We plan to have 5 minute presentations in which attention can be drawn to the poster by the author. Poster boards will be of ‘portrait’ format and the area available for each poster will be A0 maximum size. Velcro for placing posters will be provided.


Publication

All conference papers and posters will be published in a refereed conference proceedings. Please attempt to bring manuscripts with you to the conference by providing a diskette copy and a printed version. Please keep one copy for your records.

Wednesday April 10: Icebreaker function, University Museum of Natural History, University of Oxford (no charge).
Thursday April 11: Conference dinner, St Catherine’s College, Oxford (£48).

Friday April 12: Excursion and fieldtrip (£20).

You will find an accommodation registration form for St Catherine’s College on the home page. Please fill out this form if you want accommodation here. St Catherine’s is located near the centre of the city, within reach of colleges, museums and nightlife. It is a modern and comfortable college with a bar, two large common rooms, dining hall, gymnasium, squash court, a punt house and of course the conference facilities on site. In addition, the college has six rooms designed for people with disabilities. A choice of full board or bed and breakfast accommodation is offered, with optional en suite extra.
