Catalyst at ClickUni.com

Catalyst is a chemistry society for postgraduates at the University of Oxford

Our aim:

Catalyst was formed with the aim of promoting the interaction between society members beyond the boundaries of their research groups, to further their academic and social interests and help develop skills through activities.

The society comprises postgraduate students, part IIs, post-doctoral workers and members of staff of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford.

The constitution of Catalyst society can be downloaded here (Microsoft Word document, 56Kb).

History:

Catalyst was founded in April 2002 by Arnaud Bonnet, a first year D.Phil student. The society was founded with the aim of bringing post-graduate students, post-doctoral workers and members of staff together through social gatherings and activities. The society also aims to promote a wider interest in all areas of Chemistry beyond the research within an individual member's research group.
