The Case for Funding
The International Gender Studies Centre has achieved a unique standing at home and internationally. The Centre now faces funding challenges to its continuation as a site of cross-cultural research, education, and outreach programmes. But given our historical and present track record and given the academic strength of our members from diverse disciplines and geographical specialisation, we will take this challenge as an opportunity to widen our impact as researchers, development consultants and teachers, to consolidate our place within the Department of International Development and to take the Centre into new and exciting directions.
What are the funding priorities?
The most important priority for us is sustaining the viability of this vibrant Centre through funding of our core programme.
