Welcome to the Oxford Blind Tasting Society. We are a student society dedicated to the enjoyment and understanding of wine through blind tasting. We hold regular blind wine tastings for beginners and experts alike.
Come along and gain a greater appreciation of wine. Learn how to identify a wine’s grape variety, vintage, growing region and its quality - without even seeing the label.
We select and enter Blind Tasting Teams in several competitions each year - most importantly the annual Varsity Match against Cambrige, sponsored by Pol Roger Champage. Oxford have competed against Cambridge since 1953, and notable former team members include Oz Clarke, Mark Savage and Jasper Morris. Oxford are the current Varsity Match Champions.
We taste a great range of wonderful wines, and offer great value for money. Membership is only £20 per year. We charge per tasting, but the price is always cheaper for members.
We have an excellent termcard for Hilary Term 2013, with many interesting tastings. We look forward to seeing you.
If you would like us to organise a tasting for your JCR or MCR please e-mail us.
