- First ascent of Rocafella (E7 6c), Fairhead
- Third ascent (first one-day ascent) of Tolerance (E8 6c), Mournes
- Third ascent of Simba's Pride (E8 6b), Burbage South
- First ascent of Protean Protein (6c), Torbryan, Devon
- First ascent of Electric Mainline (E5 5c, 6a), Isle of Skye—at the time one of the most difficult climbs in the Cuillin
- First ascent of The Sickle (III)—a major new line in the Cuillins
- First ascent of Journey into Space (E4/5 5b, 6a), Isle of Skye

New Routing around the World
- First routes in a major new valley of the Moroccan Anti-Atlas
- Attempt at an unclimbed 6000m summit in the Himalayas
- Discovery of another major climbing area in the Moroccan Anti-Atlas
- First ascent of Harram Peak, West Face via Pharaohs Buttress (HVS), Morocco
- Second ascent of Samazar's Great Rock via the 800m unclimbed Labyrinth Ridge (AD,5a,A0), Morocco
