- First ascent of Rocafella (E7 6c), Fairhead
- Third ascent (first one-day ascent) of Tolerance (E8 6c), Mournes
- Third ascent of Simba's Pride (E8 6b), Burbage South
- First ascent of Protean Protein (6c), Torbryan, Devon
- First ascent of Electric Mainline (E5 5c, 6a), Isle of Skye—at the time one of the most difficult climbs in the Cuillin
- First ascent of The Sickle (III)—a major new line in the Cuillins

- First routes in a major new valley of the Moroccan Anti-Atlas
- Attempt at an unclimbed 6000m summit in the Himalayas
