There are several ways you can contact us:
Oxford University Mountaineering Club
c/o The Queens College
Oxford OX1 4AW
Email the club secretary. Their email can be constructed from their name and college or found on the university contact search
The OUMC mailing list is used to pass information about Club events, climbing meets, expeditions, lectures, or anything else that may be of interest to climbers in Oxford. The mailing list is not routinely 'controlled' by the OUMC Committee and they are not responsible for subscribing or unsubscribing people to the list.
To subscribe to the list, send an email from your own e-mail account (i.e. the one to which you want the e-mails to be sent) to email@example.com. This is the best way of staying up to date with what's going on in the Club and you will normally receive an average of 3 or 4 e-mails per week about Club meets and events.
To unsubscribe from the list, simply send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org and you will then stop receiving Club e-mails.
To send an email to the OUMC mailing list you must be subscribed to the list. Messages sent to email@example.com will go to all subscribed members. Please note that the mailling list is for genuine, relevant Club e-mails only: in order to prevent everyone's mailboxes being filled with irrelevant junk mail, OUMC reserves the right to remove people's mailling list sending rights if they abuse the list.
If you sign up at the OUMC stall at Freshers' Fair your name will be added to the email distribution list. For the first four weeks of Michaelmas Term all Club e-mails will be sent to both the mailing list and the distribution list. At the end of this four weeks, the distribution list will be deleted and only those people who transfered to the mailing list will continue to get OUMC e-mails. This system makes it as easy as possible for us to distribute information about Freshers' events to all potential new members, without continuing to hassle those who aren't really interested after a few weeks!
OUMC's Chat Page is a unique online noticeboard where our members discuss just about anything from climbing plans, Iffley plans, drinking plans and more often than not computer issues or camera geekery. If you want a random question answering, this is the place to post it. Or if you want to arrange a weekend in the peaks, or an afternoon pub-crawl then try here first.
If you would like to add anything to the website, suggest changes or report problems, please email the webmaster.
