YORKSHIRE

There are, perhaps, two types of people in the world - Yorkshiremen, and 'others'. Likewise, there are those who will sing the praises of Yorkshire over the Peaks, and those who'll never get any further north than Sheffield. Like the Peaks, Yorkshire comprises both coarse gristone and huge smooth limestone cliffs, but in Yorkshire both are a little bit more esoteric, and a lot more gnarly! Brutal cracks that have been undergraded forever, huge overhangs that blatantly no one can climb, and enormous overhanging limestone precipices that send a shiver down the spines of even the hardest of Derbyshire's hardmen... You get the picture! On a serious note though, if you can face the long drive north then Yorkshire does have some very good and relatively quiet cragging and bouldering... best to go judge for yourself...
