OUMC is a member of the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) and draws your attention to the following notice:
"The BMC recognises that climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions."
Before you head out on any climbing trip, it is very important that you are prepared. We all have a duty of care for each other and this should be taken very seriously, especially if you are holding the other end of the rope! However, first and foremost, you must ensure that you yourself are ready with the appropriate equipment and knowledge.
