Miranda Armstrong

I am a Research Scientist in Physical Activity Epidemiology. I am based in the Cancer Epidemiology Unit of the Nuffield Department of Population Health at the University of Oxford and lead a program of work on physical activity and health in the Million Women Study.

I joined the Cancer Epidemiology Unit in August of 2008. I hold a PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Cape Town, and an MPhil in Computational Biology from the University of Cambridge. My research interests include the associations between physical activity and various health outcomes in women, as well as childhood physical fitness and nutritional status.
