ABELL - Annual Bibliography for English Language and Literature

Description: Produced by the Modern Humanities Research Association, ABELL contains records of scholarly articles, doctoral dissertations, books and reviews. An on-going conversion programme will eventually make available on-line records for all volumes from 1920; currently, over 40,000 entries from ABELL, covering 1980-1994, are accessible. Records are stored in modified MARC format and searched using CATS search software.

From May 1997, ABELL will be available via the World Wide Web, as part of Chadwyck-Healey's Literature On-Line Service via the World Wide Web. It will also be distributed in CD-ROM format within two years.

Requirements: Internet connection with WWW Browser.
