American Poetry: The Nineteenth Century

Description: This CD-ROM is based on an anthology of the same name published by The Library of America. It contains a selection of poems (1,000+) from authors such as Dickinson, Whitman, Emerson. Longfellow, and Poe. It also includes Native American and African American works together with popular ballads, folk songs, and humorous verse. Apart from the texts the CD-ROM also features around six hours of audio recordings, biographical sketches, photographs, and a chronology of nineteenth century poetry.

Requirements: Multimedia PC running Windows 3.1 or 95 or Apple Macintosh running System 7+ with at least 8MB RAM, soundcard, and CD-ROM drive.
