Bodleian Library Pre-1920 Catalogue of Printed Books to 1975 on CD-ROM

Description: The first Bodleian Library catalogue was published in 1605 and by 1920 it contained 1.3 million records. The conversion of the pre-1920 catalogue to machine-readable form was completed in 1989 and is now published on a single CD-ROM. Used from within a Windows environment, users can search under Heading, Title, Subject, Collections, Shelfmark, Bibliographic Reference. Flexible searches are possible, with the option to make searches sensitive to case, punctuation, diacritics and special characters. Place and year filters are also available.

Requirements: PC running Windows 3.1 or higher with at least 8 MB RAM and CD-ROM drive.
