The Dream of the Rood

Description: The Dream of the Rood has been created using The Poetry Shell. The Shell contains the Old English text of The Dream of the Rood together with a number of translations, notes, comparative texts, and bibliography. Hypertext links are available from every word in the text to a glossary and the usage of the root form of a word may be tracked throughout the text. In addition to the background texts there are also a substantial number of annotated images, including a selection from the original manuscript. A specially developed Old English font is included with the package.

Requirements: PC running Windows 3.1+ with at least 4MB RAM and 15MB free hard disk space.
