EthicWorks

Description: EthicWorks is an interactive learning program which combines introductory material on ethical theory with assessed exercises. Three sections of materials cover the topics 'Every Language and Ethics', 'Key Analytical Concepts', and 'Major Theorists'. Students carry out exercises which are then automatically assessed and their marks collated; exercises concentrate on linguistic analysis, but there are also exercises which work with the concepts of significant moral thinkers. The program encourages dialogue between tutor and student where there is disagreement over an answer, with a forum for discussion within the program. EthicWorks was produced using the ClassWorks package; further versions of EthicWorks are planned which will complement a specific text or anthology.

Requirements: PC running MS-DOS 5.0 or above or Apple Macintosh running System 6.0 or above.
