Film Index International

Description: Created as a joint venture between Chadwyck-Healey publishers and the British Film Institute, Film Index International contains details of over 90,000 films from 1930 onwards, including biographical details of over 30,000 personalities and references to periodical articles. Searches can be performed by date, director, production company, country, release year, main credits, cast, running time, footage, genre and plot synopsis. The 1996 update includes information on festivals and Awards, including the Oscars, BAFTAs and the Cannes, Berlin and Venice film festivals. The Index is based on the Summary of Information on Film and Television (SIFT) started in 1934.

Requirements: IBM-compatible PC, with minimum of 640KB of RAM; CD-ROM drive.
