LogicWorks

Description: LogicWorks provides interactive exercises in formal and informal logic. Subjects covered range from fallacy identification and definition analysis to predicate calculus and the logic of relations. An Instructor package gives the tutor the option of customising existing exercises and adding new exercises to suit their own teaching. A detailed manual accompanies the Instructor package with guidance on how to design exercises appropriate to a course. Students use a Student Package to complete assignments on computer, which are then automatically assessed and feedback returned to the student. Students' results are automatically collated and retained. Some previously customised versions which con be used in conjunction with a particular textbook are available, including a version for Steven DeHaven's The Logic Course, and for Harcourt Brace's Critical Thinking and Many Worlds of Logic.

Requirements: PC or Apple Macintosh.
