Fundamentals of Flash Animation and Interactivity with Macromedia Flash 5 Increasingly, web designers now wish to incorporate more than text and static images in their sites. Macromedia Flash provides a means of creating animated and interactive content that is optimised for web delivery. This can include relatively simple elements, such as animated text, images and buttons, as well as more sophisticated multimedia applications, such as tutorials and simulations. This is a practical workshop aimed at web users who would like to start using Flash to create animated and interactive content for the web. The Content The workshop comprises presentations, demonstrations and hands-on sessions with opportunities for questions and discussion. Participants each receive a workbook which contains workshop exercises, presentation slides and other relevant materials. Requirements Participants should have previously used the World Wide Web through a browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer. Experience of using Microsoft Windows for opening and saving files and opening and closing applications such as a web browser would be helpful. Experience of using other Macromedia products and of image editing software would also be helpful. Note that this workshop does NOT require programming skills from participants and is not designed to provide competency in advanced ActionScript programming.
