Teaching and Researching Medieval French in the UK

11:00   Welcome & Introductory Talk by Prof. Simon Gaunt (Kings College London)

11:15   What is the place of Medieval French in the curriculum?

(e.g. possible interaction with other subjects, with other periods, etc.)

12:15   Which further tools are needed to teach Medieval French Language and Literature?

(e.g. creation of online material, of interactive tools, of edited books, )

13:00 – 14:00: Buffet Lunch

14:00   Discussion of digitisation and the implications it has for research and teaching in our field,

with guest: Dr James Cummings, Senior Digital Research Specialist, IT Services, Oxford

14:45   What are the possibilities of pooling resources, in terms of teaching and research?

(e.g. for subjects such as Old Occitan and Anglo-Norman, new ideas for research groups)
