My main interests lie in the syntax of Italo-Romance varieties, and I have worked on a number of topics mainly within the Cartographic approach. I am particularly interested in the Syntax-Pragmatics interface and in Information Structure. Since coming to Oxford I have developed a keen interest in Typology and Historical Syntax, with a focus on Grammaticalization. Other areas of interest include agreement, first language acquisition and the diachrony of the Italian dialects. See the Publications and Manuscripts section for more information. Click here for recent research projects, a few interesting links on the Italo-Romance varieties and photos of some of the areas where I have carried out research.
