My Research
I am a doctoral student, funded by both the Wellcome Trust and the Clarendon
Fund, studying history at the University of Oxford. My research
investigates the emergence of the myth of ‘Patient Zero’ in
the North American AIDS epidemic.
I am particularly
interested in hearing from anyone who was acquainted with Gaétan
Dugas, as one of my research goals is to broaden our very limited
understanding of a man who was posthumously and unjustly blamed for
causing a continental epidemic.
