Welcome to the Oxford University Greek Society Website!

The Greek Society was first registered with the University Proctors in 1968. Since then it has brought together Greeks, and people who love Greece, in order to pursue Greek culture, history and entertainment. It has hosted talks by prominent Greek academics, including Professor Manolis Andronikos, politicians, such as Dimitris Avramopoulos, a previous Mayor of Athens, and Kostas Simitis, the Prime Minister of Greece from 1996 to 2004.

The soceity also organises Easter celebrations, parties and Greek dancing classes.
