| 1st Week | Tuesday 9th October | OrganismThis Hammond organ-led quintet features some of the UK's finest up-and-coming jazz talents, playing a mixture of hard-swinging bluesy melodies and groove-based funk, including both original compositions and new arrangements of standard tunes. The group is composed solely of young musicians, all five of whom have worked extensively with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. Organism is the brainchild of NYJO alumnus Callum Au, who has contributed over fifty original charts to NYJO's repertoire, and his new project has been tipped by critics to 'achieve great things in the future'. |
