About Me

I am a post-doctoral researcher in Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford, working with Prof. Niki Trigoni and Prof. Paul Newman to explore new ways to navigate autonomous vehicles. I am also actively involved in building robust, accurate and extremely lightweight positioning system for mobile and wearable devices. My research has won two best paper awards in IPSN'14 and EWSN'13, and I co-founded the Oxford-based spin-out company Inside Tracs, which develops next-gen indoor positioning solutions.

In 2014 I obtained my D.Phil degree in Computer Science from the University of Oxford, working in the Federated Sensor Networks (FRESNEL) project. My thesis investigates the problem of estimating the accuracy of sensor systems based on the probabilistic measurements they provide, and has been nominated to enter the 2015 BCS Distinguished Dissertations Competition. Before joining Oxford, I spent a year as a research assistant in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. In 2008, I received my B.Eng in Computer Engineering and Applied Mathematics (ranked 1st) from Tongji University, P.R. China.

As always, I am driven by applying novel technologies to build practical systems that solve real-world problems. Please feel free to contact me for any interesting opportunity.
