Stephen Jones

I am a doctoral student in the Faculty of Linguistics, Phonology & Phonetics at the University of Oxford.

My main area of research is the theory of grammar. I am particularly interested in the link between grammar and processing, and the syntax-prosody interface. I use language data from English and Korean. My work mainly uses Lexical Functional Grammar, an established, non-derivational, computationally robust generative grammar framework, although I am interested in other frameworks such as Dynamic Syntax.

My supervisors are Prof Mary Dalrymple and Dr Jieun Kiaer.

I receive a Kellogg College progress scholarship.
