The Seconds Take On The OKA...
...and win!
- vs the Sofa (Lazy Days 2; 16th March)
- vs Reading 2 (24th February)
- Final score: 6-6
- vs Isis 2 (Cup 2nd Round; 17th February)
- Final score: 8-5
- vs City 2 (10th February)
- Final score: 8-6
- vs Abingdon 2 (3rd February)
- Final score: 6-3
- vs the World (Lazy Days; 27th January)
- The inspirational Seconds had a week off for good behaviour: some of the team went off to show Scotland the joys of Oxford Second Team korf; many of the others stayed behind to cover for the galivanting Firsts in the cup, and a corking job they did, too!
- vs Milton Keynes Roos (Cup 1st Round; 20th January)
- In an assured performance, the magnificent Seconds vanquished a team apparently comprising clones of A.A. Milne's joeys. Good effort. Oh and welcome back Matt "Wasn't-the-Same-Without-You" Moore and your 2-goal-a-game-ways. Final score: 9-5
- vs Isis 2 (13th January)
- Even without their goal-a-game captain, Matt "They-Score-Moore-Without-Him!" Moore, the Seconds continued their great run of form with a fluent and energetic performance to demolish their opponents. Rarely has an Oxford Uni Second Team looked so happy to play their opponents off the court, and to contest every single ball! Final score: 10-3
- vs Milton Keynes Bucks 3 (2nd December)
- In a bold strategic move, no doubt penned by Matt "Goal-a-Game-And-Then-Some" Moore himself, the phenomenally crafty Seconds lulled the Bucks into a false sense of security early on with a magnificent impression of a sieve in defence. With the opposition sufficiently disarmed, the Seconds subsequently turned on the style and demolished their foes. Final score: 7-5 to the good guys!
- vs Didcot 2 (18th November)
- By way of a welcome to the 2nd division, the Seconds gave Didcot a good, solid walloping! Led by Matt "The-Only-Thing-He-Lacks-Is-a-Headband" Moore and his perfect conversion of the four penalties they won, the Seconds were quick to punish the ambitious defensive strategy of their opposition, who were further hindered by being a man short. Final score: 8-2
- vs Reading Uni 2 (11th November)
- After a couple of bad results, the Seconds quickly opened up a commanding lead against Reading 2, and held on for a convincing victory. As seems to be their way, they let it slip somewhat towards the end, but their attack was strong enough to see them through. Final score: 11-8
- vs City 2 (4th November)
- Again, the Seconds came up short in a well-fought game, despite Tino's hat-trick against his former club. Final score: 8-10
- vs Abingdon 2 (28th October)
- Disappointingly, in the second game of the season, the Seconds could not find the structured play they had demonstrated the previous week; despite this, they did make some opportunities, but the ball cruelly endeavoured to avoid the korf on almost all of these occasions. Final score: 3-8
- vs Milton Keynes City (21st October)
- In a fantastic season opener, the Seconds opened up a strong lead, which they managed to just about maintain until the end of the game. Final score: 9-8
