RAE 2008: UK law school research rankings

For similar rankings of Philosophy Depts, see Brian Weatherson on Thoughts Arguments and Rants. Thanks to Brian for suggesting the various ranking methods, especially the meta-ranking g - or as he calls it the 'One True Ranking'.

Rankings d, e and f (and hence to a lesser extent the meta-ranking g) introduce a sensitivity to numbers submitted because, as Brian says in respect of Philosophy, 'averaging methods discount the merits that large deep departments have'.
