As a conservation professional, I am interested in the comprehension of all dimensions of Biodiversity governance by indigenous peoples. My research involves intersecting the Resilience perspective on socio-ecological systems with a Marxian political ecology approach to understand 'Vivir Bien', 'Mother Earth', and 'Mother Earth rights' as parts of an emerging paradigm in Bolivia. I have worked as undergraduate and postgraduate lecturer on issues of sustainability, and for the Bolivian government on multiple topics including the environment, energy, and education.

I hope to positively influence Bolivian politics and policies on biodiversity and climate change, break the status quo in order to radically shift the regime of environmental governance in Bolivia, and foster a genuine change process in the ecological dimension of the State for a more resilient future, thus setting an example to the rest of the world.
