Research

Undergraduate

• MChem Research Project: Determining the georgaphical provenance of honey samples using spectroscopic and spectrometric analytical techniques: FT-IR, NMR, IRMS (isotope ratio MS) and ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma MS).
  
• GSK Placement: Employment of laser based mid-infrared imaging in order to monitor, in situ, a fast (sub-second) chemical reaction in flow. A method was subsequently developed to semi-automate the quantification of reaction kinetics from the resulting hyperspectral images.

Postgraduate

• DPhil research project in multi-modal imaging of hyperaccumulator plants in the group of Gail Preston.
