ABOUT ME

I am a Philosopher and Prize Fellow at All Souls College, Oxford University. Much of my work concerns the Metaphysics of Mind and Cognitive Science. In particular, I am interested in the temporal structure of our experience and its relation to memory. I also have strong research interests in Epistemology, Philosophy of Logic and Language, and Metaphysics more broadly.

As well as work on temporal experience and memory, current projects of mine include work on understanding counterfactuals in indeterministic settings; the epistemology of the future; and agency and moral responsibility.

I am organizing a workshop on time perception in April: details here.

My complete CV is here.

You can write to me at: ian.phillips<at>all-souls.ox.ac.uk
Or at: All Souls College, Oxford, OX1 4AL
