Interests

I'm generally interested in the design of animal behaviour, and the use of optimality models to understand its adaptive function. Furthermore, I'm interested in underdtanding the psychological mechanisms that natural selection has evolved to implement these behaviours.

Research

Won 8-week Summer Project Grant (1/8) to study how homing pigeons implement visual navigation strategies in familiar areas, using state-of-the-art data loggers.
Worked as paid research assistant for a week, filming peregrine falcons hunt grouse in Scotland.The research aimed to elucidate of guidance law peregrines use to pursue prey.
