THE FESTIVAL (Festspiele Oxford 2001) comprises a range of independently organised cultural events on an Austrian
theme, which took place in Oxford between February and March 2001.
THIS SITE offers a critical retrospective of the Festival events, pinpointing the salient
debates raised in a series of themed precis. Augmented by adjoining pages
of selected links, reading suggestions and cultural analysis, the Festival site continues
to realise the project's primary aim: to stimulate cultural exchange, dialogue and
critical debate from a non-aligned, academic and student perspective.
