The OUMDC offers a wide range of karting suitable for all, from the seasoned professional to the complete novice. The club runs its own indoor championship open to all-comers using single engined prokarts, these are ideal for novice and expert alike as they require good clean smooth driving due to the lack of power.

The Club also takes part in the annual varsity race against Cambridge. This event usually uses twin engined prokarts which are capable of 50mph, requiring skill and nerve to drive well.

For those with a need for speed there is also the opportunity of trying out for the university karting team which competes in the British University Karting Championships which use slightly restricted TKM race karts which rev to 15,000 rpm and go on to 80mph. These are certainly not for the faint hearted as they are capable of awesome cornering speeds.

All in all the OUMDC offer something for everyone with karting.
