The Aims of OUMPA

1) OUMPA aims to enable any student of the University Of Oxford to train and compete in modern pentathlon. To this end we provide times, venues, coaching and support at a low cost to the individual member (£30 for a year, working out at £10 per term)

2) OUMPA aims to continue to maintain its position as one of the leading university level modern pentathlon teams in the country. In particular we look to preserve our current lead over CUMPC in the annual Varsity Match.

3) OUMPA aims to provide an essentially not-too-serious environment for the average individual to take part in university sport- making no specific demands on training and commitment. However any excellent athlete will have full access to our resources and support network.
