The women's NVL team triumphed again, this time against Team Bath. Although definitely not their best performance ever, OUVC did well to keep up their motivation during a slow game in a cold court, pushing to a 3-1 victory (13-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-22) that keeps them in the upper reaches of the Division's leader board.
OUVC's women's NVL team are through to the 3rd round of the National Cup after taking on Division One's Cheshire West and Chester in a convincing performance that saw our ladies come out on top 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-16). A great outcome against a team a Division above us - well done ladies!!!

With the home advantage, WNVL kept a constant pressure on Bristol 1 and had an easy win 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-20), keeping OUVC second in the Women's 2 South NVL Division.
WNVL pulled through to a narrow victory against Guildford International today. Despite Guildford lacking firepower, OUVC managed to make life more difficult for themselves than it should have been, but fought well at the end to come out on top 3-2 (25-27, 25-17, 18-25, 25-17, 15-11)
WNVL regained their form this weekend with victories in two home matches. Their 3-0 win of the Cup match against Surrey Orcas saw the OUVC ladies through to the next round, and they then followed up with another 3-0 win, this time in their League match against New Forest.
A disappointing performance saw the WNVL lose 1-3 to a substantially more consistent Reading Aces team. After fighting hard to win the first set 29-27, OUVC struggled with their passing, particularly serve-receive, and never really challenged Reading in the next three sets. We know we can play MUCH better, and will just have to pull up our level for the return match later this season. Match report on the reports page.

The women's NVL team got their season off to a flying start with a comfortable 3-0 win over Tendring. After an excellent season in 09/10 our WNVL team was promoted to Div 2 this year. Any fears, however, that Tendring (who played in Div 2 last season) would be tough opposition proved unfounded and our ladies put in a solid performance that clinched the first victory for OUVC of the 2010/11 season
