Exciting times lie ahead for the Oxford University Women’s Boat Club and it is a pleasure for me to be leading the club at such a vital time.

I see this year as the first stepping stone towards 2015, when the OUWBC will race Cambridge on the Tideway, finally achieving parity with the Men’s Boat Race. Thanks to the Boat Race Company and our sponsors, Newton Investment Management, the resources available to our club will dramatically increase this year and I fully intend to harness these to produce two very fast crews to race Cambridge at the Henley Boat Races on the 24th March 2013.

Working alongside me will be our new Head Coach, Christine Wilson. I am totally confident that her passion and experience will be invaluable to us over the coming years and under her guidance I firmly believe we can develop into the best university rowing programme in the country.
