About the Club
Oxford University Women's Cricket Club is a long established Oxford club with half-blue status.
OUWCC are made up of players from Oxford and Oxford Brookes Universities and compete in the Midlands 1A League BUCS league.
We also play two Varsity matches against Cambridge, along with a range of friendly fixtures including our annual MCC match at The Parks.
The 2012 season was a very successful with OUWCC coming 2nd in the league and then successfully making our way to the BUCS Women's Trophy Final, narrowly losing to Birmingham 1st team.
As a result of the high standard of coaching, many of our players join us as complete beginners and leave as important members of our team. Our variety of friendly fixtures and cuppers tournament mean there is a chance for everyone to get involved.
We have also had many successful individual players, past and current members of OUWCC have represented England, England U21, County XI's and the British Universities Combined XI. As well as group coaching sessions, we offer training on a more individual basis to experienced players through the UCCE Centre of Excellence Scheme.
