The Tabs have now been royally shoed in each of the 3 times we've faced them this season: BUCS league match (30 overs), the Varsity T20 in The Parks, and now the 50 over Varsity at Lord's. Go OUWCC!

Well done to Queens, who have won Women's Cricket Cuppers! They beat Balliol, the previous winners, in the final.

Hurray! It's time to go outside! Training during Trinity Term will be in The Parks, 6-8pm every Monday and Friday. We meet near the cricket nets, and use them for practise or do fielding drills on the ground's outfield. See you there.

Matches for this season, both indoor and outdoor, have been added to the calendar in the 'Fixtures' section. These dates are correct as of 17/2/14 - put them in your diary!

We're currently running the two sessions (for beginners and experienced players) so that there's a little overlap between them, the times being 6-7:10pm and 6:45-8pm. You choose which you'd like to attend, or even stay for the full two hours! In any case, please arrive promptly so that we can get as much out as possible from training together.

Thanks to the committee's efforts, when we play Varsity we will now automatically be awarded Half Blues for our hard work! Previously there were harsh criteria for the awarding of discretionary Half Blues, but the new rules bring us more in line with The Other Place. Another condition is that the player is selected for 60% of league matches - so if you'd like to make the team, get practising!

Make sure you visit the OUWCC stall at the OUSU Freshers' Fair (Wednesday 9th to Friday 11th October 2013) to chat to current members and sign up to the mailing list!

During Michaelmas and Hilary Terms we will be training for the 2014 season inside the Cricket Schools at Iffley Road Sports Centre. There are two sessions, usually on Tuesdays: 6-7pm for beginners & 7-8pm for more experienced players. All welcome! In Trinity Term we then combine the two groups and train outdoors in The Parks.

Usually announced towards the end of Hilary Term.

Played on the Lord's Nursery Ground at the end of Trinity Term. More details to follow...
