Welcome to Oxford University Armenian Society!

The Oxford University Armenian Society (OUAS) was founded in 2006 and received its official status in 2008. Since then it has developed into a strong, vibrant community of students from both Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University and Armenian families living in and around Oxford. The number of Armenian students has gone up significantly during the past two years thanks to financial grants provided by various organisations such as Luys.

The main objectives of OUAS are:

  • To bring together and create a support network of Armenian and non-Armenian students and families, studying and living in Oxford, who have deep interest in the Armenian language, art, music, literature and culture.
  • To preserve and promote Armenian cultural heritage in Oxford and beyond through various events.
  • To become part of the wider Armenian community in the United Kingdom.
