The generous support of volunteers makes a huge difference to the services that the Pitt Rivers is able to offer visitors. Are you able to give some time to the Museum?
Volunteer guiding service
If you can spare time during the week, why not think about becoming a Pitt Rivers Guide? We will give you full training so that you can help groups to get the most out of their visit to the Museum. The Guides work in teams taking pre-booked parties around the Museum in groups of 8-10 at a time. You would be working mainly with school groups on weekday mornings and might like to have a look at our education web pages to get a feel for the sort of tours we offer. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Volunteering for Family Friendly activities
Can you spare a couple of hours at the weekend or during school holidays? The Pitt Rivers runs a range of very popular family activities at these times. We rely on volunteers to help local families and visitors from further a field to get the most out of their visit. Offering your skills
If you have relevant skills, such as in conservation or research, and would like to volunteer your help let us know your area of interest. We do benefit greatly from this sort of specialist assistance, although our ability to accept offered help will depend on what projects are available at the time of asking. We will require a CV covering the skills you have to offer, details of when you are interested in volunteering, and how much time you can offer.
