Getting Here

Oxford is within easy reach of major UK airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted) and has direct bus services from them. There is frequent bus connection (every 12 min) with London for those arriving by Eurostar. An excellent webpage on how to get to Oxford is provided by the Oxford City Council: http://www.oxford.gov.uk/tourism/how-to-get-to-oxford.cfm

Weather and Climate

July is usually the hottest month: average temperature 16.4C, mean minimum 12C, mean maximum 21.4C (had you been here one day in August 1932 however, you would have sweltered in a temperature of 35.1C). However, Oxford has never had a month without rain. On the other hand, there has also never been a calendar month with rain falling on every day (yet). So, it might be a good idea to take with you umbrella and leather shoes just in case.
