______COACH AVAILABLE IN OXFORD___________________
As a rowing coach I have achieved success over the last three years. Thefirst crew that I coached won the Women's Christ Church regatta in 1995, atitle my crew retained in 1996, an unprecedented feat for Keble College BC.Following on from that, I coached Wadham Women's 2nd VIII, who won blades inTorpids 1997, and the St Anne's Women's 1st VIII, who were unlucky to onlybecome sandwich boat for the first division having consistently away fromthe second in Summer Eights. I was able to leave Oxford after two years ofcoaching at college level without having seen one of my crews beaten orbumped. In recognition of these results, I was invited to coach for theOUWBC development squad in the summer of 1997, many of whom representedOxford in the three Women's Boat Race crews this year. I started teaching inEdinburgh in August, where I coached for George Watson's College, whoserowers won the team trophy at the Scottish Schools Head this year, as wellas many medals at the Scottish School Championships and other regattas.Individual highlights included bronze at the National Schools Championshipsfor the Girl's J16 VIII, and Scottish selection at Junior level for twogirls, one of whom is still J16. I also helped coach at a SARA developmentweekend run by Peter Haining. Despite being based in Scotland, I was closelyinvolved in the preparation of the OUWLRC crew during holidays and weekends, leading to a close and hard-fought victory over Cambridge at the race inHenley in March.
