The top two teams from each group will go through to the Second Round. All First Round matches are to be played by Wednesday of Week 5 (18th Feb). All teams must have played at least one match by Wednesday of week 4 (11th Feb).
Qualification from the First Round
The top two teams in each group go through to the Second Round. In the event of a tie on points, the following factors are taking into consideration, in this order.
- 1. Results of matches between the teams (i.e. as if a round-robin had been conducted solely between those teams)
- 2. Points difference in the games between the teams
- 3. Points scored in the games between the teams
- 4. Points difference in all games
- 5. Points scored in all games
- 6. Coin flip
In the league tables, teams in blue progressed to the second round as group winners. Those in magenta progress to round 2 as group runners-up.
Qualification rules: three tournaments, played by limited Swiss Pairs rules over three matches. Top three from each tournament (by wins, then head-to-head result, then points difference between tied teams only if all matches between tied teams have been played ), to qualify. Best fourth-place out of the three tournaments to qualify. Final two fourth-places to play-off for qualification.
In the final tables, teams in blue qualify outright; teams in magenta reach the play-offs for qualification.
