Oxford sent an undergraduate team consisting of Ewan MacAulay, Joey Goldman, Henry Edwards and Charlie Clegg to the ACF Nationals in Ann Arbor, Michigan; they were the first UK team to compete in this tournament. Oxford topped the third bracket, a very good result for the society. Congratulations to the eventual winners, Penn A.

The Oxford University Quiz Society hosted the Oxford Open Tournament on 25th January 2014. This tournament was open to anybody who wished to participate.

Congratulations to Chicago A (John Lawrence, Charles Tian, Ben Gammage, Michael Coates) who won the tournament, beating Chicago B (Doug Graebner, Morgan Venkus, Luke Bretscher, Vinay Bhaskara) in the final 410-210 and ending the day undefeated.

Thanks to all 26 teams who came along for their contributions to a great day of quizzing.

British Student Quiz Championships (BSQC) (18 May 2013 at Imperial College, London):

As well as Oxford A winning the tournament overall, beating KCL 625-275 in the grand final, Oxford C secured the undergraduate title. 2013 Varsity Match (11 May 2013 at Cambridge):

This weekend the annual Varsity match took place in Cambridge. Three games were played, and all of them went down to the final tossup, with Oxford in the lead by 10 in all cases. Peter Berry, Chris Beer and Hasneen Karbalai all managed to hold their nerve and win the final starter to guarantee Oxford a dark blue wash. That makes it Oxford's 13th consecutive Varsity quiz victory. Congratulations to everyone who took part!

Oxford A, consisting of Alex Bubb, Hugh Binnie, Joey Goldman, and Hasneen Karbalai, beat Cambridge A, consisting of Samuel Cook, Ralph Morley, Alex Guttenplan, and Filip Drnovsek-Zorko, by 240 points to 215.

Oxford B, consisting of Ewan MacAulay, Tom Finch, Chris Beer, and George Scratcherd, beat Cambridge B, consisting of Alastair Thomas, Frederic Heath-Renn, Dominic Neale-Draysey, and James Gratrex, by 165 points to 140.

Oxford Committee, consisting of Chris Savory, Jonathan Lane, Peter Berry, and Sam Swift, beat Cambridge Committee, consisting of Georgina Phillips, Dan West, Samuel Cook, and Andrew Chapman, by 185 points to 155.

Oxford B (Aaron Holdway, Tom Speller, Zachary Vermeer, and Simon Spiro) defeated Cambridge B 260-230, but a team formed from members of the current OUQS committee was defeated by the Cambridge committee team.
