For events both large and small, a quiz is an easy, fun and inexpensive form of entertainment. The Oxford University Quiz Society have extensive experience of setting quizzes to many different specifications, and can produce a fun and interesting competition to suit your particular needs. YourQuiz offers two main products: pre-written quizzes, suitable for small budgets; and fully-tailored quizzes produced to your exact specification. There is no difference in the quality of the questions, all of which are of course double-checked for accuracy. However, we believe that accuracy is not enough for a good quiz, which is why we work to make every question interesting as well - no-one should be able to reply "who cares?" to any question in a quiz from YourQuiz. Pre-Written Quizzes YourQuiz hold a stock of pre-written quizzes that are suitable for bar quizzes and other small events. Each is in the classic format of 10 rounds of 10 questions each, with the rounds being on various popular general categories. The questions are of an average standard, but with the occasional harder one to separate the teams; just in case this doesn't work, we also supply a "nearest to" tie-break question. Because we are able to supply each quiz to more than one customer, we are able to hold down the prices to a level ideal for any budget. However, we are always careful to ensure that the questions we supply are not likely to have been previously heard by your audience. Each quiz is more than just 100 questions though! With selected answers, we provide notes allowing the host to explain the question or add further interesting information. Answers are also annotated with all possible alternatives, no matter how obscure, to counter the awkward know-it-all! Together with the quiz, we also provide a photocopiable master sheet of an answer paper for distribution to teams. There is also the possibility of adding picture rounds to our pre-written quizzes, which are supplied in the form of a black-and-white photocopy master sheet. Please request your quiz at least ten days before you intend to use it. Custom Written Quizzes By choosing a custom quiz from YourQuiz, you can select precisely how that quiz will turn out. From the basic structure of the quiz (number of rounds, number of questions per round) to the standard and subjects of the questions, you have absolute control over the finished product. You can also select extras for the quiz, including picture and music rounds. Our question setting team will of course be happy to advise you on how best to design your event, taking into account the audience and the projected length. More than this, however, the YourQuiz team are also able to present their custom written quizzes to your events in person. We can supply experienced question readers and scorers for your event, allowing you to sit back and enjoy proceedings (or even take part yourself). As all quizzes take time to write properly, and hosts are subject to availability, we recommend that you contact YourQuiz as early before your planned event as possible, preferably at least 6 weeks to 2 months beforehand. In this way, we can consult with your requirements at all stages of the production process to produce your ideal quiz event.
