Development of instrumentation to address specific biological hypotheses, primarily involving imaging and image processing.

Research Interests

Automated microscopy, image analysis and processing for high-content and high-throughput cytology, tissue-micro-array (TMA) assays (Bio-Image Informatics) and ion-beam endstations. Spectral Imaging and processing for histology and cytology. Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) detection and data processing for Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET). Information extraction from in vitro and in vivo biological images. Analytical, rate equation and Monte Carlo modelling of TCSPC, FRET and other optical fluorescent and detection processes. Cluster computing.

Technical Skills
