The Season 19 20/20 Batweeks Shield

Format

Two groups of three sides, seeded based on final league positions in the Season 19 batweeks cup:

Group A: 1st, 4th, 6th
Group B: 2nd, 3rd 5th

All of the games would take place in Week 16 of the season. The team that will host the final round matches will be the one that got the best record in the group name (Points/NRR/6's/4's) (that apples for the final, 3rd placed and 5th placed playoff). Top two from each group to qualify for semi-finals, bottom teams to play in 5th place playoff.

Rules

These rules are to be considered in addition to the rules of Battrick which are available @ http://www.battrick.org/nl/rules.asp

50 overs a side. 10 points for a win, 5 for a tie none for a loss.

Bonus points to be awarded as follows:

Bowling: 0-1 wickets = 0pts. 2-3 wickets = 1pt, 4-5 wickets = 2pts, 6-7 wickets = 3pts, 8-9 wickets = 4pts, 10 wickets = 5pts

Teams ranked on : Points, net run rate, 6's, 4's.

Matches should be organised by the home team. If one team cannot play then that team will forfeit the match. The first time this happens they will be given a warning and any further occasions they will be docked 10 points. A match will be rearranged if a team is still in the Battrick Cup or match can be rearranged at the agreement of both teams.

In each game, only three players worth over 18,000 Battrick rating points will be permitted for the fixture. If a team exceeds this then the match will be forfitted and the non-offending side awarded the points for a win. If both teams exceed this then 0 points will be awarded to both teams.

If a player has already played in the competition then signs for another club then they are considered cup-tied and cannot play in any future matches in the tournament.
