The Termcard

This Term's Special Events

The Pub Crawl

Friday 4th week.

We all need to get drunk once in a while, and it's more fun with other people so...

Apologies to the tee-totallers for the rather pro alcohol stance of this announcement.

The Shadow Pact Feast

Saturday 5th week, Venue tbc

This term's FLRP event is going to be a little different from the usual, you get to play the bad guys! This feast held in Talen ColdBlood's camp in Kar Dernath should be an enjoyable occasion for goblin and Dark elf alike. Since no one will be able to play their regular FLRP character (unless they get captured beforehand) get in touch with Alastair really soon to sort out a character, preferably with a few ideas.

The Banquet

Saturday 6th Week, Venue tbc.

This delightful trip from sobriety to drunkeness takes in 3 courses, wine and port, all served up in a delightful atmosphere. A chance to say goodbye to the leaving committee, but more an excuse to dress up in black tie. I might even make a speech, and I'm sure some others out there will want to. Tickets will be about 20 to 25 pounds, with a reduction for non alkys, see Reuben for details.

Saturday 7th week, 1pm Wadham seminar room.

Hopefully we'll have sobered up enough to vote in a new committee, and decide on any ammendments to our beloved constitution. All nominations for posts or proposals (of a strictly constitutional nature) to Frances please.

Ikaros and Nightflyer

Nightflyer will be coming out sometime this term. PLease get all articles discussing roleplaying, short stories, comic interludes, pictures or whatever to Hanbury by the end of 4th week. Do contribute, the society magazine has been gloroious in the past, but it does need people to write it.

Ikaros will also be produced to handle more mundane matters. Any in character views on FLRP or Pantheon are welcome, they're the best way of giving those not involved a feel for the game. Deadline for contributions is Wednesday of 3rd week.

Other Things not to Forget

The Bulk Order is your chance to get a 10% discount at Gameskeeper. Ask Kat for the extensive list of roleplaying stuff they sell.
The Library is also held by Kat. It has recently acquired some new stuff, including a Mr M.T.Marcus. Book now to avoid disappointment.
T-shirts and Sweatshirts are still available with lovely designs and a myriad of colours to choose from. Rob will be organising an order as soon as enough people are interested.

Regular Meetings

Tuesdays 7:30 every week. Lower Lecture Room and Seminar Room B at Lincoln College.

The freeform society game continues... The Romans have begun to 'civilise' those 'barbaric' Celts in a variety of ways. But not all is running smoothly.
If you didn't play last term then talk to Jon, Alastair, Matt or Reuben about becoming one of the gods involved in the conflict to decide the future of Britain.

Also, have a look at the World Wide Web Players List.

Meet at Reubens's room (Wadham, staircase 15, room 1) at 7:00

There are loads of new players in FLRP, do keep coming. Because the numbers of players is increasing so rapidly, it is essential that you contact Alasair if you wish to play. Then he can sort out which parties will go out on which nights. As well as the games there are the Shadow Pact Feast, The Brandel Bugle and the FLRP mailing list to get involved in.
Please also remember this is the coldest part of the year, and we will be outside. Wear warm clothes (you can always leave them in the minibus) and decent footwear. As always, 4 games on Friday's of 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th week are planned.

Games Evening

Thursdays, 7:30 onwards, every week at Wadham Seminar Room.

More a chance to relax than anything else. This opportunity to lounge around in Wadham, sipping the odd drink, playing anything from History of the World to Magic (via Jenga and Bridge) has become an institution. Also a good place to plot games and hand in Pantheon turnsheets. Hopefully people will continue to run one off games, if you fancy doig so, just grab some players on the night.

Vampires in Arms

This freeform game is continuing to follow the fortunes of the vampires in Oxford as they fight against the Sabbat and (probably) other unseakable dangers. If you're interested in joining in the fun get in touch with Ralph or Kat. The Prince will be calling 3 conclaves this term, which all vampires would be wise to attend. They are on the Saturdays of 2nd, 4th and 8th weeks. They should start soon after dark, but for times and venues watch the usual places or ask around.

With the emphasis on the tea, it's...

...and as my last termcard draws to a close, it remains only for me to thank you for reading.

Hope to see you at some of the events,
